Would be interested to know if your sensor switch ever turns itself off. I have a couple in the house and both of them have a habit of turning themselves off after about 10 - 20 mins, but not consistently. In my setup they are both feeding low voltage lighting so this may be the issue. Feeding an LD10 of course you really have no load on the switch so if my problem is perhaps due to heat or load type (transformer) then it may not be seen in your setup. Yours are momentary versions as well so this will change things.

OK, I now have a sensor switch and an LD11 hooked up on the bench.

It all pretty much works exactly as I need it to!

I still have a couple of concerns, but I'm hoping these are just due to the
test conditions. - hopefully everything will be alright once it's in place.

Basically, the detection range seems very small, - about 3-4mm - I have to
get a finger *very* close to the sensor before it switches.

On a couple of occasions during testing it has got "stuck" - ie the relay
remained closed even after I had moved away from the sensor, causing the
LD11 to go into and endless dim/bright cycle. - a quick re-operation of the
sensor fixed that.

Another thing I may try is using some nice looking shiny chrome switches
from **plins (FG45Y) to switch a relay to make the momentary closure on the
LD11. Then I can use the same switch range for all the switchgear in the
bathroom...
