I have just rewired my kitchen and I would always run a 30 amp fused spur
to
an oven. Although I used a gas hob and the electric oven is only rated at
2.2kw, you never know when someone might want to fit an electric hob or a
bigger oven, etc.

My oven stated that it should be connected to a 13 amp fused spur, and the
internal wiring was certainly not safe to connect up to a 30 amp spur so I
put a 13 amp fused spur box on the end of the 30 amp fused spur.

In the event that I ever use an oven/hob which pulls more than 13amps I can
take this off and fit a cooker switch.
