Subject: RE: [ukha_d] Does HA increase
you electiricty bills ?
Estimated pc consumption was about 30 quid assuming no monitor and
power saving. Other stuff is negligible. My direct debits have never
changed
since starting this HA stuff
Ian
I've just recently moved
into new house, and I've managed to set up the bulk of my automation,
(obviously I will never be finished, otherwise what else would I do with
myself, or SWMBO for that matter).
Anyway, to the point, does anyone think
that having all this HA gear running 24/7 increases the electricity bill
for
example.. Do x10 modules have a significant current usage in idle states ?
Does HV and comfort use much (no more than the telly in standby, or near
abouits I would think). And what kind of consumption would a pc use running
24/7 (monitor off). Just typical vvalues, or has anyone any idea on wether
or not the extra usage is a significant factor in the bills they
get.
I cant compare previouse usage, as it is a new
house.
Thanks,
Eamon
