No, not unless you're a short-sighted yorkshireman. The range of the
built in IR port is diddly-squat. The latest Clie (and some Visors,
if fitted with additional hardware) have high power transmitters.
These cannot be practically retrofitted to a workpad. Sorry to be the
bearer of bad news.
