Not sure if I would want a computer downstream of an immersion heater with
its probably noisy thermostat operation. Can't you get a dedicated spur up
there from the distribution board?

Side note: The reliability of electronics kit falls off exponentially with
temperature - could be 35deg + in a loft on a hot day - and that is before
the heat output of the computer. You might also suffer from condensation in
the winter. One common failure mode for plastic packaged integrated
circuits
is moisture ingress through the epoxy/ lead interface (ie up the legs), and
the more extreme the temperature cycling, and higher the humidity the worse
the effect.

Industrial kit uses ICs with extended temp range and a humidity coating on
the whole PCB and components - Aerospace use more extended temp range parts
and ceramic packaging to just about solve the problem.

I could do that Quinten suggested a spur off the power socket in the
hallway,
but one off the immersion heater would be much better, and much easier to
implement.

Initially it will be just the PC & hub, but I don't imagine it's ever
going
to be anything major up there.
