Aye, that's true, but you can still get a decent framerate by multiplexing
four cameras.

I use the PIRs as a kind of first-level trigger, then the image goes
through
my Emotion detection library (which incidentally I'll  happily email to
anyone if they want to play with it: it's an adaptive background estimation
&
temporal differencing comparator, and has a KDE front end (kmotion)).
