Alternatively make sure all the machines have the same usernames and passwords set up on them as accounts...

Both are Win2K, but I'd like another W98 box to do the same.

Will this trick work and mess anything else up?

Cheers,
Lee

Lee

Sorry if I’ve come in half way thru a discussion

Try setting the username and password the same on both machines

What O/S are you using on each machine?

I've just added a mapped drive on my main PC which is mapped onto a drive on my server - this all works fine.

What is now annoying, is that when my main PC now boots - half way thru the boot procedure a box pops up asking for the passwork to log into the server. Is there a hack that can get around this? Pref. on the main PC...

TIA

Lee.
