RE: Pronto

Title: Message

£135 inc vat for a pronto without a recharger (they run on AAs and these seem to last for ages).

Using Pronto edit, well the options are endless, I started by using some of the standard screens and altering them to suit, (my pronto is more functional that a design statement!!)

Do follow the golden rules for SWMBO acceptance (if you have one)!

1, Design the Config for the pronto
2, Test the Config on the pronto
3, Test the Config on the pronto
4, Release V1 for SWMBO approval
5, Do not (under any circumstances) alter v1
6, request SWMBO feedback
7, Following SWMBO approval - build v1.1 -
8, GOTO 1

:-)

Where about's is the £135 one? - is that with VAT?

Q.  1MB or 2MB version? I think the two models are the same except for memory, right?

When configuring the pronto using the Edit software, do you edit using the setup you
currently have on the Pronto or is it a design everything from scratch?  ie, can I design just one
screen but use default ones for other devices?

Cheers

The pronto is a Remote Control, and that's what its good at, the clie is a PDA, so not normally the sort of thing you leave lying around in the living room when you are out and SWMBO wants to watch the telly :-)

A basic pronto is £135 - so *a lot* cheaper than the sony, and its very well supported on the web too.

have i missed something here? does the pronto only send ir signals? if so, why not just get the new sony clie, with the extended ir? only £340 and does far more than the pronto ever could.

Right - I'm now looking at a Pronto - the colour one looks nice but - I can't aford it !

I have heard that the contrast on the green screen is not high and is difficult to see - is
that really correct? I can't really bevieve it. What are your views?

Cheers
