The
pronto is a Remote Control, and that's what its good at, the clie is a PDA,
so
not normally the sort of thing you leave lying around in the living room
when
you are out and SWMBO wants to watch the telly :-)
A
basic pronto is £135 - so *a lot* cheaper than the sony, and its very well
supported on the web too.

have i missed
something here? does the pronto only send ir signals? if so, why not just
get
the new sony clie, with the extended ir? only £340 and does far more than
the
pronto ever could.

Right - I'm
now
looking at a Pronto - the colour one looks nice but - I can't aford it
!
I have heard
that
the contrast on the green screen is not high and is difficult to see - is
that really
correct? I can't really bevieve it. What are your
views?
