There is one gotcha with using a PIR as a momentary switch. That is the
PIR will be continuously switching on and off as it detects movement and
resets again. So it would be like someone keep pressing the switch.

You may get away with using a security light PIR with a built in dwell time
to power the light directly. To use an AD10 or LD11 you would need to make
a circuit that will send a 240v pulse when it gets triggered and send
another when it has stopped receiving inputs for x minutes.

this is a repost of my original message because the thread has been
burgled!

As an ALTERNATIVE to using the x10 PIR sensors and RF
receivers...does any body know of a way of triggering an LD11 module
with a PIR? (ie, using the PIR as a 'momentary' switch to control the
LD11) The reason i would like to do this, is for lighting and/or
appliance (with AD10) control triggered by PIR. I guess the question
i am asking is 'does anybody know of a PIR sensor that gives a
momentary output on activation. If not, how else might i incorporate
a 'normal' standalone PIR into control of x10 modules?
