I have a 30 year old house with 30 year old (microbore) central heating
.... We also live in a hard water area.
I had been thinking of sticking some heating system descaler but it had
been mentioned to me that the stuff can frequently open up leaks that
had previously been sealed with scale so up to now I have resisted.
I have since found out that our neighbours two doors down had their
microbore system completely fur up last year and it cost them =A3800 to
have it pressure flushed to get rid of the buildup so does anyone have
any recommendations for what to use to descale/defur a central heating
system? (I'll be hitting B&Q later today for a bog conversion kit so
B&Q
sourced product would be an advantage!)
Phil
