I have spent some time looking at http://www.readerware.com It *seems*
to
offer everything we are looking for, it will accept an input as an ISBN and
will then go onto the web and search sites for ISBNs and then update a
local
database with the results, It appears to take the images of the jacket from
these sites too.

It can export data from itself to other formats, so could be imported into
your preferred software.

I'm going to download this tonight and have a play, I'll let you know what
I
think tomorrow.
