As someone who has months of high volume ShowShifter use under his belt AND
a recently acquired TiVo I have to admit that there is a Grand-Canyon-esque
gulf between both systems. SS is great - don't get me wrong, and with the
ridiculously cheap (fiver a year) Digiguide it does a great job of allowing
one click recordings.

But, as someone else said on the list recently, TiVo is soooo sorted. It
works soooo well. The whole family (well the Mrs anyway) can use it with a
minimum amount of training. The "Killer Apps" though are the
season pass
and the whole suggestions thing (BTW - does Sky+ do the intelligent
recording of suggested programs?).
