Agreed.  I have 2 stores near me (Leigh-on-sea & Thurock Lakeside) both of which I have visited today to find that NEITHER had in stock any relay with a 230V coil, regardless of contact rating, size, or number of contacts.  Also the days where they would send you your parts by mail order, postage free, if they were out of stock are long gone. 

 

Time to find a new supplier I think :-(

anyway, i
was in recently asking for something (nothing exotic) and the
guy said
"oh,
sorry, not in stock" and another staff member walked past
and said "ha,
just
for a change".

sums them up basically.

ps. the staff
themselves
are nice and friendly.

I've given up on Maplins since they're just
so
poorly stocked
