But you'll have much more than just a doorbell. Just think of the
flexibility
- doorbell at different volumes
- switch a camera picture of front door onto the TV
- switch off noisy appliances like a vacuum so you can hear the bell
- log and record the time caller came to your door
- link it to a jet spray for soaking kids playing knock door runaway
- by putting a weighing machine under the porch and a small speaker by the
door you could get it to announce people's weight while they wait.
