Subject: [ukha_d] In praise of
Overclockers.co.uk
I’ve just used them for the first time to buy a
new
mainboard, CPU, RAM and case (and later a new graphics card
too)
Their salesmen are all enthusiasts – at least one
of
whom is an extreme overclocker and runs a Freon based cooling rig so his
CPU runs
below 0 degrees!
The customer service team is excellent – in terms
of
going the extra mile to help out. I ordered part of the first batch of the
new
Corsair 2700 DDR RAM which doesn’t seem to work in all mainboards. I
spoke to their returns department last night at around 4 o’clock, and
they advanced shipped a replacement stick of Revision 1.1 RAM which arrived
this morning.
They don’t offer free shipping, but most of their
kit
is slightly cheaper than DABS, so provided you order in sensible quantities
you
won’t suffer. A totally different experience to buying from those
crooks
at Scan!
Tim.
