I take it from what is being said that the LD11 doesn't issue an X10
command when it is locally operated?

I was under the impression that it might as the controller I was looking
into
can be programmed to do something when the light operates, eg,

if A1 light on
then set A2 light off

obviously the syntax is wrong but you get the idea.

So - question - where does it get the condition in the if from?

The example I have seen is "if PIR occupancy sensor does something
then ... "
