All mine are US based. 40x I think - EU
units are 433Mhz. I can check if you like...

So I suppose the answer is to use the Homeseer RF
receiver and buy some
US RF pads. What frequency do they operate on?

I've got Homeseer, and although I haven't actually tried this out, I
can't see why it won't work.
At the moment you're going:
IR -> X10 -> Homeseer -> X10 -> Devices
You've got two sets of X10 delays in there. So how about putting an
IR receiver onto a serial port on the Homeseer machine, which would
give:
IR -> Homeseer -> X10 -> Devices
Should cut down your delay!
