Sorry Gareth
Mp3 filename to id3v1 tag
Then filename mask
%2
then Write Tags

(If you make sure first that the ID3v1 is copied to ID3v2
Use tag synchronise wizard
Then you can overwrite the tag in v1
If it is wrong copy v2 over v1 and try again)

Sorry Gareth I misread you
You need to rename the files just as track # - title.mp3
Then write tag from file name using just the %2 mask
Well it worked here

I've got Tag & Rename now - but it aint doing what I want !

The Rio/DDAR's use the TITLE field of the MP3 to show as the list (I want
them all to be in the right order as was on the CD). But I can't anyway of
adding a track number to the title to sort it.

Any ideas ?
