I noticed a few web sites around Christmas that were selling cybiko's
for 50 quid a piece (but very limited stock). I waited a day before
deciding I wanted two and all sites had sold out. I contacted cybiko
directly and they sold me 2 (as a "one-off") for 50 each.

I played with them for a few days but, as it tends to, life has thrown a
few spanners in the works since then. I do plan to get back to playing
with them soon.

My original intention was to use them as remote controls for the house
(one hard-wired to my server, and one wireless). Then I could easily
write (with the free sdk) a program to control various bits of my house
and then release the programs into the wild for anyone else odd enough
to buy some :)

They're pretty good machines, for the price, especially if you can get
them for 30 quid now (as Matthew Norman said).

No promises here, but the more people who own them, the more likely I am
to dedicate any time to the s/w. I would be interested to know how many
people on ukha own them (or would own them given usable s/w)

John
