I'm not a qualified electrician, but the IEE Regs do NOT allow you to run
wiring of different voltages in the same conduit - they are called
"Category
1" (240v - LV) and "Category 2" (telecomms etc - ELV).
They're not worried
about interference, just safety. Also, if you terminate the two types in
the same box (eg behind a light switch), then you need an earthed barrier
between the two cable types.

Graham

I haven't got any experience of running CAT5e and T&E in the same
conduit
others may be able to help there.

But on the big question.
I have set up the consumer units holding the DIN rails modules on the feed
>from
That way all the modules are protected behide a 6A lighting breaker (one
for downstairs and one for upstairs).

i.e. Power in to house -> main cu -> through 6A breaker -> to
x10 module
consumer units switch -> X10 module

That way I can switch off all lights from the main unit or can work on an
individual X10 consumer unit by switching it off at that particular unit.
