There is code on the net for using PIC's with one wire devices. I am
certain
the techniques would be the same.

Ooh. Now that does sound exciting. Is there any way of interfacing a
one-wire bus with the Rabbit using an extra chip or two? The Rabbit would
do
everything I need for the home environment then, although I still like the
extra memory available on the TINI.

One of the most exciting options which opens up with a full TCP/IP
stack is the option to use multicast or broadcast. Every device on
....
installation/use). Of course, such a scheme can run in parallel with
HTTP/XML style interfaces, so you can have your cake and eat it ;-)
