I am a cheapskate and use the Response 4000 cameras which produce
relatively
good pictures....I would recommend B&W as the image is usually clearer
below
20 lux...down to approx 0.5.

have a look at some captures....the ones in colour are me fooling around.
You can see in near pitch dark quality is low, but with streetlights, the
picture is reasonable...

They have been used by police to apprehend some baddies...so they do work.
