MOVIE STUDIOS BEGIN TO SUPPORT D-VHS

JVC's D-VHS has gained a major vote of support from

the movie industry with the announcement that four

Hollywood movie studios will be releasing films

onto its high-definition format. The studios,

which include Twentieth Century Fox, Universal

Studios and DreamWorks SKG, are all expected to

release films in 2002 onto the high security

portion of the D-VHS format known as D-Theater.

With a maximum storage space of 44GB compared to

DVD's 18GB, D-VHS is being touted as the only

format that can offer a true high-definition

home entertainment experience.

Now I would like the studios explain to the millions of consumers that have bought a DVD player that they now need an £800 VCR to watch the latest releases!
