Tony,

2 and 4 port PCI serial cards are available for "reasonable"
money from
places like Action (www.action.com) and Netshop (www.netshop.co.uk)

I have a couple of 2-port ones that were about £30 each, and I also have a
4-port one which was about £70

Examples:

Titan 4 x 460Kbps ISA Serial Port Card, Man. Part No. 6000-91.
Cat No: 69-95-30 £34.99

Titan Dual 921Kbps PCI Serial Card, Man. Part No. 6000-70.
Cat No: 69-12-72 £33.99

Titan 8 Port 921Kbps PCI Serial Card, Man. Part No. 6000-72.
Cat No: 69-39-16 £127.99

Titan 4 Port 921Kbps PCI Serial Card, Man. Part No. 6000-71.
Cat No: 69-08-61 £78.99

All above from Action.com

PCI200H PCI Serial Card 2 Port 128 Byte FIFO In Stock= 0
Lead Time = 3 Weight=0.150 28.95 34.02*

is at Netshop.co.uk
