Being in the North it's the same here as you.

A mate I went to school with went to work for a bank In the South. I
remember him telling me he paid 58% in his first year.  That was over
ten years ago though and it's got a lot lower than that now as far as I
know.

Maybe Mark can put us right on this but I think that a single man's tax
in Ireland is even higher than that is it not?
