Roomba Question

I've just brought back one of these lovely things from the US, but as with<= BR> most US appliances it comes with a 110v AC, 24v DC power supply, so how did=
you guys change this?  All the current multi adaptors I have only go u= pto
12v, but this needs 24v.  I can see 2 options.

1. Step down transformer to change 240 -> 110, not sure how well these w= ork,
cost around =A330
2. A separate transformer for 24v but have to cut the current Roomba power<= BR> supply and solder the plug, cost ???

Anyone know of any other / better options?

Cheers,
Ian
