When I had 24/7 dialup access (before Mr Freeserve asked me to leave) I
would to that too :)   Especially useful when the Mrs left the
phone off the hook.  Comfort Web Interface would show me which room
she was in (from PIR activity) and I'd flash the lights in that room :)

  When I first set up intenet control of X10, my SWMBO got a little
fed up 
  when I would randomly switch lights on and off.... :D

  Of course the novelty wore off (along with the bruises she gave
me)... ;)
