I bought it for the kids but I have to admit it's been in our bedroom since
I got it :)

Video quality isn't a patch on my Pioneer player in the AV Room (and it's
not a particularly good player itself).  The eject sounds like something off
Scrap Heap Challenge.

The firmware upgrade went smoothly and took less than a minute.  So far it's
played everything I've thrown at it.  Region 1,2 (does RCE too I read)
CR-RWs and DVD-Rs included.  I've played MP3s on it too.

When you consider it costs a little over a tank of petrol it's a total
bargain :)
