John,

You shouldn't need to use activesync to reset to 2.04 hack from a flat
battery.
You need to find Tascal registry editor - the secret is finding it!

Programs\File Store\Win_CeFiles\Program Files\Utilities\Tascal Reg Edit.exe

Import Registry File v2.04.reg in Tascal registry editor - file should be in
Win_CeFiles folder

Then do a soft reset - ie. push the reset button on the back of the ePods

(DON'T do a hard reset - ie. push the reset button whilst holding down the
on/off button)

Everything should work OK then :o)
