Daniel,

Your choices are pretty much:

1) stay with NetBIOS - nice & simple

2) Use Active Directory & DDNS - very much less simple!

You pays yer money and you takes yer choice.... of course you only have the
choice if your "server" running Win2K is actually running win2K
server, not 
Win2K professional...
