If you mean to get the server to execute something from the client side
of
the world, then yes, reposts or other such round trips are necessary -
this
is nowt to do with functions per se though, it's to do with getting the
client to tell the server to retrieve a page - whether functions are
involved or not.
Maybe what you _meant_ to say was that the Web programming model is not
like
the windows programming model?
