I used to have plans for this with a scale I bought from Sharper Image,
i
think, but it seems to be gone now. This scale transmitted the weight via
IR
to a "remote" that told the weight. Before I crushed this gem
with my own
weight I planned to install a IR-receiver connected to the pc which
would
log the results to a database, after deciding who was standing there for
the
moment, which in my family would be a extremly easy calculation.

Sadly the scale is dead and thrown away by someone else than me, and I
can't
find it anymore. It was cheap and would've been working still if the
remote
hadn't been dropped once to many.
