I should add the candle needs to be in the airing cupboard, not attached
to
the cat :-)

OK - now trying it.
Look out your west windows... If you see big flames in the sky, you
know
why :-)

Believe it or not, light a candle and leave it near the smell, it will
remove it very quickly.

Yesterday morning, our cleaner ironed my trousers...
... Hung the trousers up in the airing cupboard...
... And shut one of the cats in there :-(
I discovered the cat in question about 20 hours later...
... During which time he had done a big poo.
The very good news is that the cat in question seems fine.
The good news is that he'd pooed into a plastic crate we had in there,
rather than directly onto the floor.
The trousers have now been re-washed, which has got rid of the smell.
The smell in the airing cupboard lingers.
How do I get rid of it?
I assume that the nasty smell is basically long-chain carbon molecules?
Is there some way of breaking these down elegantly?
The option of opening the airing cupboard door and suitable windows is
a
pig, because the airing cupboard opens onto the landing which has no
external walls/windows, so it's a case of venting out VIA another room.
Also, it's COLD at the moment, so it's only an option for a few hours
per day.
I don't just want to use an air-spray. Since this will MASK the smell
rather than actually getting rid of it. Also, multiple-chemical
intolerance is a big enough problem in my life anyway, without making
things worse.
Any ideas?
Mark
