A common PSU is OK for Tony's application where several units are
co-located.

Problems can occur if you feed power to the distant end from the same power
supply as you can set up a ground loop.

I believe that Keith does not recommend using a common power supply for his
Kat5 units....I  would suggest you double check with Keith on this
one.............
