Networking

I'm finally going to use the cat 5 wiring for a proper network (not just audio video and cctv)...not peer to peer....

Most of my my pc's use win98 and I'm considering using win2000 or win XP pro for server applications on an oldish pc
(celeron450).

I'm ignorant re networks and would appreciate advice....should I forget netbeui and use tcp/ip, also would it be better to use win2000 or xp.

Can anyone recommend a good networking site for beginners/intermediates

Any advice appreciated

Campbell
