reliable devices especially for dimming .

    There's really tempting things like Leviton Dim and
Preset Dim, but none
    of them seem to work. All I ever get a lamp at full
brightness and then
    a dim down to 50% say. I can't make it dim up to 50%
from off, without
    the full brightness step.

    I've even tried turning the lamp on at Dim 0% then then
dimming up to
    50%, but I still get full brightness first.

    Is this all we can get in the UK, or have I missed
something ?
