Prog Scan will make the quality output of your source material (ie DVD)
jump. The sheer clarity and contrast/sharpness of a prog scan picture is
exceptional.
NTSC Prog has been around for ages. PAL has only just been ratified
(Macrovision approval, etc). On a Projector it can make the world of
difference due to the poorer quality output as opposed to a CRT. We tried
it on a Panny PTAE100 with a Jap GameCube with Super Monkey Ball 2 - it
looked as tho we had a 4 foot wide Plasma screen :-) It wa very very good
indeed.
Im checking if the Panny PTAE100 can take a PAL Prog - it doesnt mention
it on the specs on the Panny website.
Prog Scan is a de-interlacer and line doubler.
