RE: Question about whole house audio

Hi Paul,

The thoughts I had re. kitchen and control of audio using VR were:
1) I had expected it to be a 'close' (assume you mean directional)
microphone since in the kitchen someone is mobile.
2) I thought if it still didn't work then I am allowing for a second
microphone to simply pick up the background noise and build a
subtraction circuit to remove the background noise from the VR
microphone.

Still all to be proven of course :-)  Have you ever tried some noise
cancellation.  The VR mic has to be quite uni-directional for it to work
of course.

I intend to design in both step up and step down as well as absolute
settings on the volume interface.  This is all handled by a PIC so I am
free to do what I want I guess.

Cheers
Shane
