OT Sky
having just moved from the UK to Ireland (South) I am now considering my
TV
options.
The cable systems are local, very limited and unreliable so my only
sensible
choice seems to be Sky.
My choice is between getting an Irish sky system or a UK one. I
understand
that a UK system would mean buying a subs paid box and having a
subscription
at a UK address for the viewing card.
This raises a few questions......
1 are the line ups of programs the same? I have a tivo so this is
important.
2 what channels would I miss by going for UK rather than Irish sky
service
or vice versa?
3 does anyone know of any suppliers of kosher subscription free sky
digiboxes at reasonable prices ...best I can find are 300 - 350 ukp
sorry this is off topic but I know the list has a number of satellite
nuts
and some people in Eire who may be able to help.
Thanks
Mick
