Not really. As Mark said, assuming you have stairs you'd need one
for
those, but even if you didn't, you'd need a regular vacuum to do the
edges
and corners, which Roomba does get to, but not as effectively as a
traditional vacuum. Plus for one-off spills, it would be very
frustrating
trying to convince Roomba to go over a specific area!
As a guide, and I'm assuming I have an averagely clean house, the ratio
of
roomba:traditional is about 4:1.
