Pace FTA box

I bought one from Makro last week but not sure whether to keep it or not.
It 
has improved the signal quality immensely! The aerial is temporalily in the
loft waiting to be moved outside. The signal direct from the aerial is
grainy 
but through the FTA box the picture is good and no artefacts or
pixelisation. 
The only problem is that it's too damn slow at changing channels.

Are others having the same problem?
