For a Simple 2x40 VFD:

State - Default:

- Line 1: Time, Date
- Line 2: Outlook / Mark / Unread message count

State - Door:

- Line 1: Fixed text "Someone's at the door"
- Line 2: Time, Date

State - Phone:

- Line 1: Meteor / Home / CLI
- Line 2: Time, Date

Triggers:

- Meteor / Home / CLI message received <> "NONE"
- GO TO STATE PHONE

- Meteor / Home / CLI message received = "NONE"
- GO TO STATE Default

- HomeVision / Home / Macro = "Someone at the door"
- GO TO STATE Door

- HomeVision / Home / Macro = "No longer at door"
- GO TO STATE Default

On the Meteor plugin:

---- When the phone rings, and there's a valid CLI, the meteor plugin sends Meteor / Home / CLI message received = "xxx", ie the number of the phone calling (or a lookup giving the name)
---- When the phone rings, and there's not a valid CLI, the meteor plugin sends Meteor / Home / CLI messages received = "Number withheld"
---- When the phone stops ringing, the meteor plugin sends Meteor / Home / CLI message received = "NONE")

On the Homevision plugin:

It's up to Homevision to determine when the doorbell has been pressed. (Input port?)
Likewise, it's up to HomeVision to determine when there's no longer someone at the door. (Timeout, or powerflash shows door opened?)
