    If you are familiar with Basic there are some great 'quick' dev tools like PicBasic / PicBasicPro & Pic Basic Plus - Crownhill is a good site to look over. www.crownhill.co.uk. For a big project this can get something working very fast ('prototype') and then you can migrate the key parts to native code as required either for speed or size, which may allow use of a more cost effective processor. There are of course some C compliers etc and the main assembly dev suite is free from MicroLabs site.

P16PRO software . I aslo have NEWFOUND ELECTRONIC WARP13 (serial microchip
