Well, the third reason for posting with one's job title is that one's email system has it in an auto-sig, and one either can't or doesn't remember to delete it :-)

That's fine and I do value your insightful comments. What I don't quite
understand is why signing most of the postings here with your official job
title and then claim you don't speak for your employer? In my opinion, there
are two main purpose of quoting official job titles. One is to represent
one's company and the other is to impress.

I agree with you and, in my opinion, you have clarified your position.

I share your concern.

I agree. However, in a public forum such as this, it is inevitable that some
people would post without considering the possible consequences.
