For a not entirely dissimilar requirement, I used a K&R 8 pole
switch, go to http://rswww.com and look for 222-5835, and it needs an
actuator (a knob to everyone except K&R), 350-0840.  Unusually for
a "big" switch, it has acceptable low voltage and low current
performance.

As to automating - well, I have a half finished crazy idea for just
this switch.  It uses a motor to turn the switch.  I've got as far as
a built PCB (several months ago) but its currently mothballed; there
are more important things to do.

The alternative has to be a bag of relays....
