RE: Barcode Software

Hi Chris

Have a look at www.readerware.com

The book database software has been discussed here before. The software
is wonderful and allows you to scan books, CDs or DVD's and then it
searches on the web and returns all of the information about the DVD or
CD including the cover if it is available.

It has been written by a guy called Martin who is really good about
dealing with queries and is prepared to listen you your ideas about how
the software should move forward.

It can also run in client/server mode and will run on most platforms
with a Java VM, so linux is a possibility.

Sorry to sound like a sales pitch, I have no involvement with the author
apart from being a very happy user

Any more questions on Readerware etc plese don't hesitate to contact me

Regards

Ben

On the  subject of barcodes, im looking for some software that will scan
CDs/DVDs and lookup the information on the internet so I don't have to
tip track listing etc out.  Any ideas?

Kind Regards,
