Mine didn't - now she loves it.

I started out by giving her the facility to turn off the lights
downstairs with an IR7243 upstairs in the bedroom, one button turns the
downstairs lights on (All Lights On), one button turns them off (All
Units Off). That she liked and she uses it every night when the last of
us go to bed. Now I have been able to use that to set a flag in
HomeVision to show "nighttime mode" and start doing intelligent
things...

...which she likes even better.
