I had something like this, i think its because i am behind a proxy
server at work.
What i did was have winamp tune into a shoutcast stream (to get
passed proxy OK) and also have shoutcast plugin on that winamp
application as well, so it serves up the music to the local network.
I can then point streamripper32 to this and all is OK.
So i'm basically connecting to a shoutcast stream and (dare i say
it!) re-broadcasting it as another shoutcast stream.
