RE: X10/Room Occupancy/SWMBO acceptance

It easy for the system to get it right if you provide the feedback it
needs.  Put a small magnet on the curtain and a reed switch on the rail,
when the reed switch closes they are shut.  Some curtain motors work on a
pulse to change direction so if the curtain are open or half way across
pulse the motor.  If that closes the curtains fine if not it's opening them
so wait a few seconds and pulse again.  Alternatively get a set of curtain
with a dawn to dusk sensor and throw the sensor in the bin and link it up
to an output or put an LED right next to the sensor and wrap it all up in
black tape.  Of course you need something that can control the inputs and
output and we all know where we are going here!

What about when you not at home, part of the point of automated curtains is
not for while your there but for when your not.
